Significant deals and transactions:

• Representation of a Bahrain-based, Libya-focused private equity firm in connection with a private placement for a wholly-owned drilling rig subsidiary and subsequent $43,000,000 Shari’a-compliant financing facility related to its drilling rigs in Libya.
• Representation of Saudi-based international bank regarding an Islamic financing facility for the acquisition of drilling rigs in Libya on an ijara basis.
• Representation of a UAE based construction and Building Materials Company in relation to 1.03 billion (AED) syndication.
• Advising a financial institution on the creation of new fund products.
• Advice to a foreign based bank (operating in the UAE) in relation to a multi-currency facility (approx US 30 Million) to a major oil and gas sector corporation.
• Acting as legal advisor for a large-scale real estate development company in relation to the Sukuk issuance valued at approximately 1 billion (AED).
