Who we are
City International Advocates & Legal Consultants
“A boutique international law firm with offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar) and Tripoli (Libya)”
City International Advocates & Legal Consultants was established in 2007 in Abu Dhabi as a boutique real estate practice. This niche real estate practice was inspired by Dr. Ali Abusedra’s prior governmental experience working as the lead legal advisor for the Dubai Ports & Customs Authority for the unprecedented Dubai Palm Islands real estate development project.
Subsequently, Dr. Abusedra served as legal advisor to His Highness Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi (Ministry of Planning & Economy).
In 2007, the Abu Dhabi office entered into an exclusive co-operation agreement with the international law firm SALANS, LLP (based in Paris, France) serving as the exclusive Abu Dhabi affiliate office, as part of SALANS, LLP’s 700-attorney global law firm, in
Abu Dhabi.
Since 2007, the law firm has expanded from a core real estate practice to provide a broad range of legal advisory services to clients in a broad scope of international and domestic business transactions. Our clients include industry leading regional as well as multi-national
companies in the real estate, construction and financial services industries.
In 2012–2013, the law firm expanded into Libya, acquiring licenses to open and operate law offices in both Tripoli and Benghazi where our attorneys regularly advise and counsel governmental entities and international corporations entering or re-entering
the newly emerging Libyan market.
Regionally, our boutique law firm is able to readily provide our clients with responsive, practical advice and effective legal counsel. Our corporate lawyers are broadly experienced in corporate, securities and cross border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and
strategic alliances, investment funds and private equity, as well as licensing and regulatory compliance. We have acted on behalf of clients such as the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs (Presidential Palace Project),- Manazel Real Estate, PJSC, Al Wahda Investment Company, and
Tasweek Real Estate Investment, PJSC .
Fundamental to our law firm’s capability and capacity to represent a broad range of diverse clients is our experience, understanding and relationships with their specific businesses, and our ability to identify and further their unique business aims and objectives.
